And I would also like to add that more often than not we find our bougainvilleas with lots of #gorgeous #green growth and no #blooms, it’s because of an #excessive amount of #nitrogen #fertilizer. But that’s something for another day, today we have a chance to #savor the moment and look at this gorgeous Bougainvillea, and the #excitement will double itself up I promise; when we #propagate 4 #cuttings from this #beauty successfully. So fasten your seat belts and stay with me for the entire length of this video and yes, once again, why are you not #subscribed, please go ahead and do it. Here we go….. This is some great adaptation by a plant….lesser and lesser leaves each year and more and more flowers…..by the way this Bougainvillea is 15+ years old and survives on minimum water and full sun. From a distance you can hardly notice any leaves, I can look at this for hours, what about you, I am sure we all wouldn’t mind. If you are propagating Bougainvilleas for the first time- go with at least 4 of them, that way you give that extra cushion to be successful. Remove the thorns, leaves, or any small out-branches. Scar the cuttings. Get cinnamon powder and water solution ready. 4 hours dip is advised. Use styrofoam cups for the best results. Soil mix- 50% #gardensoil 30% #cocopeat and 20% #sand. Make #drainage hole and Pre-soak the pots. Now simply insert the cuttings in each pot. Day 4, the cuttings look great but no sign of growth yet. Day 7, the cuttings have new leaves now. Day 9, the cuttings are holding up great and by now the roots have also started to develop to support the new plant. It would take another 3-4 months before I would go and transplant them and you should also do in that same timeframe, not early, late would still be fine. Thank you again for your time.
